I am a diaspora urban sketcher and researcher based in London, documenting the UK under the pen name 'Stefan'. My practice underwent a profound shift following a serious illness in early 2025. During my recovery, sketching evolved from a hobby into a vital tool for reclaiming a sense of belonging and navigating cultural memory while living away from my home country. I approach every subject with a 'dual witness' perspective, blending visual analysis with personal narrative to explore how memories of home are layered onto new environments.
